Edward Olive Awarded Two Judge Merit Awards by Photocrowd
Photographer Edward Olive has received two Judge Merit Awards from Photocrowd in January 2026 for his works in their Urban Streets After Dark Competition.
The awards were given for his digital–analogue double exposure composite self-portraits, Man and Building and Detective. Both images explore urban identity after dark, blending architectural forms with the human figure to create cinematic, introspective narratives.
Selected by the competition judges, these distinctions recognize Olive’s distinctive visual language, where analogue sensibility and digital technique merge to reinterpret the contemporary city through layered self-portraiture.

El fotógrafo Edward Olive ha sido galardonado con dos premios Judge Merit por Photocrowd en enero de 2026 por su participación en los concursos Urban Streets After Dark.
Los premios fueron otorgados por sus autorretratos compuestos de doble exposición digital-analógica, titulados Man and Building y Detective. Ambas imágenes exploran la identidad urbana nocturna, combinando formas arquitectónicas con la figura humana para crear narrativas cinematográficas e introspectivas.
Estas distinciones, seleccionadas por el jurado del certamen, reconocen el lenguaje visual distintivo de Olive, donde la sensibilidad analógica y la técnica digital se fusionan para reinterpretar la ciudad contemporánea a través de la autorrepresentación en capas.
