Adapt or Burn Out: The Model’s Identity vs. The Author’s Vision
There’s a fatal mistake in today’s visual world: believing that one single pose or one single look works for every project. If a model does the same thing in every shoot, their image becomes generic, exhausted, and eventually «burnt out.» The audience detects repetition instantly, and interest fades away. Every director, every fine-art photographer, seeks a different truth. My demand as a photographer is straightforward: I look for something radically different from what every other photographer has already done. I’m not interested in the seen; I’m not interested in the comfortable. I seek disruption. For this to work, a model must adapt. It’s not just about «posing»; it’s about understanding the creator’s vision and transforming. Daniela and Megan performed brilliantly during this session for Under Pleasure. They knew how to read my style, move away from clichés, and give 200 percent. The result is these powerful, raw, and authentic images that look like nothing you’ve seen of them before. Being chameleonic isn’t an option; it’s the only way to survive being forgotten.

Adaptarse o Quemarse: La Identidad del Modelo frente al Autor
En el mundo visual de hoy, existe un error fatal: creer que una misma pose, una misma mirada o una misma actitud sirve para todos los proyectos. Si un modelo hace lo mismo en cada sesión, su imagen se vuelve genérica, se agota y, lo que es peor, se «quema». El público detecta la repetición al instante y el interés desaparece. Cada director, cada fotógrafo de autor, busca una verdad distinta. Mi exigencia como fotógrafo es clara: busco algo radicalmente diferente a lo que ya han hecho todos los demás. No me interesa lo visto, no me interesa lo cómodo. Busco la ruptura. Para que esto funcione, se necesita capacidad de adaptación. No es solo «posar», es entender la visión del creador y transformarse. Daniela y Megan lo han entendido a la perfección en esta sesión para Under Pleasure. Han sabido leer mi estilo, alejarse del cliché y entregarse al 200 por ciento. El resultado son estas imágenes potentes, crudas y auténticas que no se parecen a nada de lo que hayáis visto antes de ellas. Ser camaleónica no es una opción, es la única forma de sobrevivir al olvido.
